Multimodal Learning and Teaching: Workshop Agenda and Overview
Below is a proposed agenda and publicity newsletter for a workshop teaching about multimodal learning and how that can look in a classroom. The idea is to get people familiar with the concept and to get them thinking about using it in their classroom by letting them test out some possible modes.
This PD is designed as a two hour workshop divided between online and in-person connections. Attendees will learn what multimodality is, how it can benefit teachers and students, and leave with takeaways they can use with their students. Using Google Classroom as the interface for our communication, we will explore multimodality together! We could comfortable service 5-60 attendees in one workshop session.

My Role in the Design of this Product
In the design of this project, we met 4-5 times as a group to generate and synthesize ideas. In the first online meetings, we gathered resources and discussed findings. We then met to review our Deep Play Group books that we had been reading individually and as a group. The next meetings revolved around designing the PD and Newsletter and then designating tasks for each group member. I contributed my ideas of what a good PD would look like and how it should be implemented. I also gathered some grounding research to explain the enduring value of our topic and show why it would be worthwhile. Special thanks to Kyle and Gretchen for taking care of scheduling and many of the technical aspects during our meetings.
